d. Which explorer discovered America?
The explorer who discovered America is Columbus Christopher.

e. Which planet is closet to the earth?
The planet which is closet to the earth is Mars.

f. Which animal in Vietnam was chosen to be the logo of SEA GAMES 2003?
The animal in Vietnam which was chosen to be the logo of SEA GAMES 2003 is the buffalo.

g. Which ASEAN country is divided into two regions by the sea?
The ASEAN country which is divided into two regions by the sea is Malaysia.

h. Which food you can chew but you cannot swallow and which one you can swallow but you cannot chew?
The food which we can chew but we cannot swallow is chewing-gum and the one which we can swallow but we cannot chew is water.

2. Match each of the sentences in column A with a related sentence in column B. Then use a suitable relative pronoun to join the two sentences. (Ghép mỗi câu ở cột A với một câu liên hệ ở cột B. Sau đó dùng một đại từ liên hệ thích hợp để kết hợp hai câu)

3. Underline the relative clause in the sentence. Then add, commas lo separate the non-defining relative clause from the rest of the sentence. (Gạch dưới đại từ liên hệ trong câu. Sau đó thêm dấu phẩy đề tách mệnh dề liên hệ không hạn định khỏi phần còn lại của câu)

a. Viet Nam, which is in the south-east Asia exports rice.

b. Kangaroos, which come from Australia, have long tails.

c. Ba, who lives in Trang Tien Street, likes playing the guitar.

d. The novel, which you gave me on my birthday has been lost.

e. Neil Armstrong, who first walked on the moon lived in the USA.

f. The chair, which I bought yesterday, is broken.

g. Miss Lien, who sings very well is my English teacher.

4. Rewrite the sentences in exercise 3. Replace each underlined clause with a clause you have written. You may use facts or your imagination. (Viết lại những câu ở bài tập 3. Thay thế mỗi mệnh đề được gạch dưới bằng một mệnh đề bạn đã viết. Bạn có thể dùng sự việc có thật hoặc tưởng tượng)

a. Viet Nam, which is in the south-east Asia exports rice.

b. Kangaroos, which come from Australia, have long tails. 
- Kangaroos, which move by jumping, have long tails.
- Kangaroos, which seem to be meek, have long tails.

c. Ba, who lives in Trang Tien Street, likes playing the guitar.
- Ba,  who is one of my classmates. likes playing the guitar.
- Ba, who is my cousin, likes playing the guitar.

d. The novel, which you gave me on my birthday, has been lost.
- The novel, which I just bought yesterday has been lost.
- The novel, which was a gift from my uncle, has been lost.

e. Neil Armstrong, who first walked on the moon, lived in the USA. 
- Neil Armstrong, who was an astronaut, lived in the USA.
- Neil Armstrong, who was in an excellent health, lived in the USA.

f. The chair, which I bought yesterday, is broken.
- The chair, which you made yesterday, is broken.
- The chair, which is painted brown, is broken.

g. Miss Lien, who sings very well, is my English teacher.
- Miss Lien, who lives next door, is my English teacher.
- Miss Lien, who is still single, is my English teacher.
